Yippee Chi OThis past Spring we hosted our first ever Yippee Chi O and it was a rootin'-tootin' good time! We giddied up in our best cowgirl gear and asked that those coming to support would do the same. The event was filled with rodeo styled relays like horseshoe toss, lassoing, and horse racing. There was even a surprise best dressed cowboy/cowgirl contest at the end. As the final scores were totaled, we all came together and danced to some country classics. Even though not every sister is a fan of country music, we each embraced this theme and went all out for Make-A-Wish because that is what is most important! | Spring 2020

Chi O KickoffLast fall we didn't have just one event to raise money for Make-A-Wish. We actually had our very first Wish Week where we did something different everyday to raise money for the foundation. A couple of the things we did was sell Krispy Kreme donuts and partner with Panda Express for a benefit day (we like to joke that food is our seventh purpose and you can see why). We ended the week with our big philanthropy event, Chi O Kickoff. Even after getting rained out and having to make last minute changes, the event consisted of fun football relays and was a blast to watch and participate in! | Fall 2019

Swishes for WishesOne event that we and others loved was Swishes for Wishes! We had a concession stand where we sold snacks and our sisters acted as the referees. The event had multiple basketball related relay games and each teams points accumulated at the end to decide a winner. We also got to have our director for Make-A-Wish Alabama come out to speak about just how amazing the foundation is! | Spring 2019

Color me CHi OOur 5k color run is a big hit not only on campus but also in the community! It’s unique because it’s on a Saturday morning unlike any other philanthropy here at Montevallo. This allowed for many local families to come out to support and learn more about Make-A-Wish. The event has taken place at Orr Park. While the run was in progress we had concessions and yard games like corn hole available. Many of our sisters invited their family and friends to come run with them. To celebrate when people completed the 2.5 mile run, they got one last, big splash of color! | Fall 2018
